25-Game Hitting Streak for Russell Saturday, May 7th , 2050 The hot bat of Spinners center fielder Tyler Russell continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 25 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 16-7 loss to the Oilmen at Oilmen Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Tyler Russell struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Juan Alonso in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
