McPhail Tosses No-Hitter Against Diamonds Monday, April 18th , 2050 Calgary is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Dusty McPhail. The 23-year-old hurler was dominating against the Laredo Diamonds, leading the Winter to a 5-0 win at Ballpark of Laredo. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Laredo manager Garret Welborn said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." McPhail had 8 strikeouts and gave up 4 walks en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," McPhail said.
