Hernandez: Big Hit in the Sub League 1 Monday, April 18th , 2050 Mexico City fans have something to crow about today as Mexico City shortstop Vicente Hernandez nabbed the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Hernandez. He posted a .529 average (9-for-17) this past week with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. |
