SL2 Announces Outstanding Batter Award Sunday, September 1st , 2052 Marco Lara may be much younger than other hitters in the Sub League 2, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old Calgary shortstop hit .275 with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. This season, Lara is swinging the bat at a .286 rate with 42 hits in 147 at-bats. To date he has hit 9 home runs, scored 32 runs and driven in 30. |
