Jones Slams 3 Deep for Calgary Saturday, August 17th , 2052 Jamie Jones of the Winter went on a hitting spree at Prairie Thunder Park and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 11-9, to the Louisville Prairie Thunder. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Jones said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Calgary third baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Jamie Jones hit a solo-shot off Luis Symonds in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Luis Symonds in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Phil Crews in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Jones is currently hitting at a .286 pace with 8 home runs and 23 RBIs. |
