Reno Halts Straub's Hitting Steak Thursday, August 15th , 2052 The Rattlers stopped Josh Straub's 21-game hitting streak at Rattlers Stadium, but they couldn't stop the Spokane Bulldogs, falling by the score of 2-1. Straub didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-4. "It's just as well," Bulldogs manager Steve Pugliese said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." So far in 2052 Straub is batting .347 with 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 167 at-bats and a .414 OBP. |
