Lopez Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, August 8th , 2052 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Portland's 8-1 win over Wichita, center fielder Victor Lopez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Wichita Grounds. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Lopez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Victor Lopez singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Devin Green in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
