20-Game Hitting Streak for Straub Monday, August 5th , 2052 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Josh Straub did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Royal Oak Field. For the last 20 games in a row, the 21-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Spokane Bulldogs beat the Royal Oak Faygo Pops, 2-1. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Straub told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Spokane clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Josh Straub flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Thus far this season in 42 games, Straub is batting .352 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 159 at-bats. |
