Player of the Week: Mexico City's Vargas Monday, July 15th , 2052 It was an extraordinary week for Sal Vargas of the Mexico City Mole. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .438, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Sub League 1. Last week Vargas went 7-for-16, racked up 2 home runs and 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Mexico City shortstop. So far this season, Vargas is batting .302 with 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and 36 runs scored.
