Cobras Heading to Round 2 Wednesday, September 8th , 2049 The Round 1 didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the Can Tho Cobras are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Colorado Springs Generals 4-2 to advance to the Round 2. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Cobras shortstop Yaremka Vaschenko. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." Can Tho won the final game by a score of 8-2 at Can Tho Park. Vaschenko was named series MVP after hitting .409 with a .500 on-base percentage. He also had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Can Tho Cobras will play against the Cork Claws in the next round. Cork won their series against the Long Island Ducks 4 games to 1.
