Buffalo Takes Round 1 Monday, September 6th , 2049 The Buffalo Red Sox are riding high after winning the Round 1 and eliminating the Jacksonville Alligators by a series score of 4-1. The final blow came tonight at Alligators Stadium, when Buffalo secured its spot in the Round 2 with a 9-3 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said first baseman Drew Rosenfeld, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Rosenfeld certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .476 with a .577 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Buffalo Red Sox don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Long Beach Paradise - Rhome Rhavioli series. Long Beach leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
