Galveston Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Wednesday, August 25th , 2049 The Galveston Gumdrops were mathematically eliminated from contention for the 2049 playoffs today. "You just wonder if you could have done more to get in a better position at this time of year," said a dejected Gumdrops manager Jonathan Bonner. Before this season, the Gumdrops last missed the playoffs in 2047. In the 29 years they have been a CBD Rookie League franchise, they have made the playoffs 13 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Gumdrops have missed the playoffs 2 times. Galveston last won the Round 3 in 2043. |
