Adams Batters Rhome for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 22nd , 2051 Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Mike Adams said his club's tilt with the Rhome Rhavioli "felt almost like batting practice." The 18-year-old catcher went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate. "I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later. However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Oklahoma City Hooks, who were topped by the Rhavioli, 8-7. "It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Hooks manager Jason Bazik said. "Sometimes Mike is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose." Mike Adams hit a two-run home run off Leo Reyes in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
