Adrian Vargas Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Saturday, September 3rd , 2050 The season is ending on a bad note for Adrian Vargas, reliever for the Galveston Gumdrops. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Vargas was hurt against the Euharlee Hammerheads while throwing a pitch. He suffered radial nerve compression and will be out for at least 6 months. To date this year, Vargas has saved 0 games while tossing 82 innings.
