Henderson went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Colorado Springs pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ballpark of Colorado Springs, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Galveston Gumdrops had a win, 20-8, over the Generals. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Dan Henderson struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
