Pueto Rico Blanked by Akin, 7-0 Wednesday, August 3rd , 2050 It was not a good day at the plate for the Pueto Rico Ranas. They came up empty when it mattered against Rhome Rhavioli right-hander Kevin Akin, who scattered 8 hits across 9 innings and held the Ranas scoreless. "We had 8 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Pueto Rico manager Alfonso Rivera said later. Akin chalked up 9 strikeouts and no walks in the 7-0 Rhavioli win.
