Beach Boys Win Round 1 Saturday, September 5th , 2048 The Corpus Christi Beach Boys are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Pueto Rico Ranas. Corpus Christi wrapped up the series sweep with a 6-5 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Chase Bontz, who was named series MVP. For the series, Bontz hit .588 with a .632 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Corpus Christi Beach Boys don't know who they will face in the next round.
