Hooks Heading to Round 3 Friday, September 21st , 2046 The Oklahoma City Hooks are heading to the Round 3, having narrowly defeated the Melbourne Aces. Oklahoma City edged Melbourne in the series 4-3, with a win at Hooks Ballpark in the clinching game by a 7-4 margin. Juan Lara turned in a strong offensive performance for the Hooks and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 3 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Lara continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .346 with a .433 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 1 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Oklahoma City Hooks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Jacksonville Alligators - Long Island Ducks series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
