Charno Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, August 30th , 2048 Gauthier Charno, right fielder for the Galveston Gumdrops, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 11-2 victory over the Rhome Rhavioli at Gumdrops Grounds. "Not the outcome we wanted," Rhome manager Danny Curtis said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Gauthier Charno struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and flied out in the 6th. This year, Charno is hitting .341 with 14 home runs. |
