Nogales Loses Bill Bautista, Will Miss Season Tuesday, August 25th , 2048 Bill Bautista at first refused to leave today's Rhome-Nogales game after he suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Nogales reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Bautista out of action for 5-6 months. Bautista's record this year is 5-and-3 with 2 saves and a 6.03 ERA. He has given up 96 hits in 65.2 innings with 35 strikeouts. |
