Galveston Won't Make Playoffs Monday, August 14th , 2051 The playoff hopes of the Galveston Gumdrops -- which were already faint at best -- are now completely extinguished. The team will miss the playoffs this year, being mathematically eliminated from contention today. Before this season, the Gumdrops last missed the playoffs in 2049. In the 31 years they have been a CBD Rookie League franchise, they have made the playoffs 14 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Gumdrops have made the playoffs 7 times. Galveston has won the Round 3 3 times in their history. |
