Pineda Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Thursday, August 3rd , 2051 Roberto Pineda was at the head of a Jacksonville hit parade at Alligators Stadium. The second baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Alligators to a nice 12-11 victory over the Long Beach Paradise. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Pineda told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Paradise skipper David Saldana said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Roberto Pineda singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
