Hit Streak for Henderson Reaches 20 Monday, August 2nd , 2049 Chalk up another one for Galveston Gumdrops center fielder Garrett Henderson. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Henderson went 2-for-3 in today's game at Alligators Stadium but saw his club defeated, 7-5, by the host Jacksonville Alligators. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Gumdrops manager Jonathan Bonner said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Garrett Henderson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Henderson is batting .415 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs this season. |
