Brian Hernandez Out for Season Wednesday, July 12th , 2051 The doctors have spoken and Brian Hernandez of the Long Beach Paradise didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hernandez sustained his season-ending injury during the Galveston Gumdrops game yesterday at Paradise Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Long Beach medical staff reported Hernandez had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. |
