Dotel Hits in 20 Straight Games Wednesday, June 23rd , 2049 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Victor Dotel did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Ducks Ballpark. For the last 20 games in a row, the 21-year-old first baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Jacksonville Alligators beat the Long Island Ducks, 2-1. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Dotel told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Jacksonville clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Victor Dotel singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Dotel is hitting .355 this year with 3 home runs and 36 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .430, 22 walks and scored 27 times. |
