Streak Finally Over, Lobato Held Hitless Monday, August 17th , 2048 Lorenzo Lobato's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 23 games, as the Can Tho Cobras dropped their contest with the Galveston Gumdrops, 11-2, at Can Tho Park. Lobato failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Lobato spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. In 90 games this year, Lobato has posted a .457 average and put up these numbers: 13 home runs, 89 RBIs and 90 runs scored. |
