Euharlee Snaps Farley Streak at 28 Monday, April 29th , 2052 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Tom Farley as he saw his 28-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 6 at-bats at the hands of the Euharlee Hammerheads. It wasn't all bad for the 19-year-old second baseman and the Long Beach Paradise however, as they defeated Euharlee, 17-0, at Euharlee Fields. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Farley laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." In 7 games Farley is hitting .278 this season with 10 hits, 1 home run, 8 RBIs, 4 walks, .350 OBP and has scored 8 runs. |
