Can Tho Silences Long Island, 10-0 Saturday, July 11th , 2048 The Long Island Ducks were almost helpless in their 10-0 loss to the Can Tho Cobras and hurler Ken Mason. Mason kept the Ducks confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Mason," Long Island manager Sergio Aguirre said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 23-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Mason said.
