Owens Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, June 18th , 2051 The Oklahoma City Hooks stopped the Euharlee Hammerheads by a score of 23-3 at Euharlee Fields, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Jeremy Owens. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Owens said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Owens did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Hammerheads. "Not much that I can say," offered Euharlee manager Ben Jones. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jeremy Owens singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
