Gregory Picked Best Player Monday, June 12th , 2051 Pueto Rico fans have something to crow about today as Pueto Rico third baseman Dan Gregory nabbed the CBD Rookie League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Gregory. He posted a .630 average (17-for-27) this past week with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs, and 13 runs scored. This season, Gregory is batting at a .390 clip with 5 home runs and 30 RBIs. |
