Melbourne Captures Division 1 Crown Thursday, August 29th , 2047 The Melbourne Aces are champions of the Division 1, but don't plan the parade quite yet. "It's a nice accomplishment, but we haven't done anything until we win the Round 3," said reliever Chris Gillespie. "We're going to celebrate this for sure, but the real celebration is still to come for fans in Melbourne." The club's record currently sits at 67-50. It is the team's 9th division title and they will be seeking the franchise's 4th CBD Rookie League championship. Team manager Jeremy Cook said he plans to take some time to celebrate the division title, but then it's "back to work" for members of the team and coaching staff. |
