Anderson Torches Hooks for 5 Hits Saturday, June 3rd , 2051 Tim Anderson told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Anderson of the Colorado Springs Generals did against the Oklahoma City Hooks. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 11-7. "Not much I can say," offered Anderson in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Tim Anderson singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This season, Anderson has banged out 73 hits in 142 at-bats for a .514 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .602 pace and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
