Super Swinger -- Liriano Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, June 8th , 2049 Mario Liriano was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Can Tho Park, the Can Tho first baseman blistered the Galveston Gumdrops for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 7-6 victory. "Liriano was too tough to get out," Gumdrops skipper Jonathan Bonner said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Mario Liriano singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
