Matt Overman Hurls No-No Against Oklahoma City Thursday, August 15th , 2047 Matt Overman really did a number on the Oklahoma City Hooks at Fenway Park -- and that number was zero. The Buffalo Red Sox hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Red Sox to victory, 2-0. "This is something special," Overman said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look." The left-hander faced only 31 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 9 and walked 4. "We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," Oklahoma City manager Chris Ouverson said when asked about the epic performance. "Overman was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."
