Rhome Hexed: No-Hit by Simmons Saturday, May 22nd , 2049 Excitement reigned at Hooks Ballpark as Oklahoma City Hooks hurler Rich Simmons tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Rhome Rhavioli, 5-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Simmons said. "Today I just went right at the Rhavioli as hard as I could, as long as I could." Simmons, who leads the CR in strikeouts with 52, chalked up 10 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Oklahoma City manager Chris Ouverson. In 7 starts this season, Simmons has recorded 4 wins and absorbed 2 losses.
