Red-Hot Quijano Cools Off Long Beach
Sunday, May 16th , 2049
It was not a good day at the plate for the Long Beach Paradise. They came up empty when it mattered against Oklahoma City Hooks right-hander Pedro Quijano, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Paradise scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Long Beach manager David Saldana said later.
Quijano chalked up 8 strikeouts and 5 walks in the 6-0 Hooks win.
His record this year is 3-1 in 2 starts and Quijano has a 0.46 ERA.
