Sierra Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, May 2nd , 2053 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Jacksonville's 19-9 win over Sapporo, first baseman Jesus Sierra was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Sea Eagles Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Sierra said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Jesus Sierra singled in the 1st, walked in a run in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Sierra is batting at a .390 pace this season, picking up 16 hits in 41 at-bats with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 12 runs scored. View Boxscore |
