CR Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Benavides Sunday, September 1st , 2041 At only 22 years of age, Esteban Benavides could very well be having many more months like the last this in his career. That would be great news for fans of the Augusta Linksmen, as August was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the CBD Rookie League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .347 with 10 home runs, 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored. For the season Benavides is currently batting .277 with 24 home runs and 62 RBIs. In 113 games he has reached base at a .350 rate and scored 61 runs to date. |
