Gill Slaps 5 Hits Monday, April 28th , 2053 It was a good day for the Hooks at Claws Ballpark as they clipped the Cork Claws, 24-5. It was tremendous day for Brent Gill, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-8. "I don't know what to call that," the Oklahoma City third baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Brent Gill singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Sam Hahn in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year, Gill is hitting .471 with 2 home runs. View Boxscore |
