League Punishes Pair for Fighting Tuesday, August 6th , 2041 Frank Gutierrez of the Can Tho Cobras and Oscar Leyva of the Rhome Rhavioli will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 2 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cobras-Rhavioli game at Can Tho Park. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Gutierrez and Leyva will begin serving them soon. Thus far this year Gutierrez is hitting .285 with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. In 13 starts this season Leyva has notched a 2-4 record and a 4.92 ERA. |
