Weathers Rocks Better Mades for 3 HRs Saturday, July 20th , 2041 Cork second baseman Devin Weathers blasted three homers today at Grosse Pointe Grounds in the 12-3 Claws victory over the Grosse Pointe Better Mades. For the game, Devin Weathers scored 5 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Weathers when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 5-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Weathers told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Devin Weathers hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Nick Hall in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Arturo Lamberty in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Arturo Lamberty in the 6th and tripled in the 8th. Thus far this year Weathers has hit .308 with 17 home runs and 64 RBIs. |
