Paradise End Beltran Streak Monday, May 9th , 2050 Sheboygan Bratwurst first baseman Sergio Beltran and his hot bat finally met their match at Paradise Ballpark. The Long Beach Paradise snapped his 22-game hitting string, holding Beltran hitless in 4 at-bats and also whipping Sheboygan, 19-0, for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Paradise manager David Saldana said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Sheboygan makes it even sweeter." Beltran is batting .395 with 1 home runs and 10 RBIs this season. |
