Hargis Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, June 13th , 2048 Austin Hargis of the Euharlee Hammerheads tagged 2 hits in today's 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Red Sox at Euharlee Fields to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Austin Hargis singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season, Hargis has hit at a .354 clip and produced 17 RBI, 2 home runs and 26 runs. |
