Can Tho Snaps Brown Streak at 20 Friday, June 5th , 2048 Jody Brown saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die during the Cork Claws win over Can Tho at Can Tho Park. The 34-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Can Tho Cobras, but his teammates produced enough offense to win the game, 9-6. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Brown told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." In 32 games Brown is hitting .473 this season with 61 hits, 5 home runs, 44 RBIs, 42 walks, .601 OBP and has scored 49 runs. |
