Pruitt Raps 3 HR Against Expos Sunday, July 1st , 2046 Fans are still buzzing after Galveston whipped the Vermont Expos by the score of 8-0 at Expos Grounds. Scott Pruitt smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the second baseman bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Pruitt said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Pruitt said. "Three is just... wow." Scott Pruitt hit a solo-shot off Miguel Mayen in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Miguel Mayen in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Zach DiGiovanni in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Pruitt is batting .299 with 8 home runs. |
