Murillo Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, May 13th , 2048 Win or lose, Francisco Murillo just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Nogales Nómadas del Sol shortstop went 2-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 3-2, by the Pueto Rico Ranas at Nogales Grounds. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Francisco Murillo grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Murillo has hit .389 with no home runs and 3 RBIs. |
