Sea Eagles Win Round 1 Saturday, September 7th , 2052 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the CBD Rookie League Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different. The Sapporo Sea Eagles swept aside the Oklahoma City Hooks to advance to the Round 2, winning the final game by a 7-4 score at Hooks Ballpark. The series MVP was second baseman Fernando Martinez, who hit .526 with a .591 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it." The Sapporo Sea Eagles don't know who they will face in the next round.
