Deal Belts 5 Hits Friday, August 30th , 2052 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Chris Deal, it came around today. The 22-year-old catcher scattered hits all over Nogales Grounds to pace the 11-2 Sapporo Sea Eagles victory over the Nogales Nómadas del Sol. Nogales skipper Kevin Crabtree told reporters in the press room that "Deal deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Deal hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Chris Deal singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
