Galveston Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Monday, August 19th , 2052 The Galveston Gumdrops have a new opponent: mathematics. The Gumdrops still have games to play in their disappointing 2052 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Gumdrops were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Galveston last appeared in the postseason in 2050. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 18 times in their 32-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Gumdrops have missed the playoffs 4 times. Galveston last won the Round 3 in 2043. |
