Conover Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Can Tho Tuesday, July 30th , 2052 After 20 games, Adrian Conover had his hitting streak ended abruptly by the Can Tho Cobras at Claws Ballpark. The Cork Claws second baseman failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Conover seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Claws beating the Cobras, 15-0. "It was good while it lasted," Conover said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." Thus far this year, Conover has hit .384 with no home runs and 42 RBIs. |
